Happy Birthday Sagittarius!(Nov. 22-Dec. 21)Your month: Here's an unusual piece of advice--make decisions based on what you think in your head, not what you feel in your heart. This month forget everything you've read about following your passion--your wisest counselor is your mind. You all possess the ability to collect apparently disparate bits of information and come up with the big picture, then paint it so that others can see it too. It's a gift, and not one to be taken lightly. Use it for yourself right now. Look around you. Examine each bit of collected information concerning what you wanted to be when you grew up. Now you have your answer.

Capricorn(Dec. 22-Jan. 20) Here are a few questions to ask yourself this month: What can you invent to showcase your unique talents to the max? What can you pursue that's out-of-the-ordinary and utilizes your current state of individuality? What contribution can you make and what legacy can you leave to the world? How can you channel your tremendous and intense energy into something positive, exciting and challenging? How can you capture the exhilaration of battle without actually fighting, and control that energy so that it's not a danger to yourself or others? The answers to these questions hold the answers to your Universe.

Aquarius(Jan 21-Feb. 19)You've always known

one of your major lessons is to serve others, but it's easier to dream about a way to benefit humanity than to actually do it. Right now your spirit is more than willing, but your flesh is just a little weak. Let's begin with something more simple than saving the whole world, shall we? How about saving a few close friends, co-workers, or relatives? You give great advice as long as your feelings aren't too deeply involved, so tap into your masterful ability to almost psychically ferret out the root of a problem and help a few folks closest to you. 

Pisces(Feb. 20-March 20) It's one of those good news/bad news months. The good news? You're experiencing so much career activity you almost don't have time for holidays. Somehow you've become hard-working and respectable. Philanthropy and communication are the keys to your current success so believe in yourself--you've been right all along. Now for the bad news: Communications with your partner? Not so much. Your intentions are good but you have so many ideas and plans, you aren't sure which ones are right. Aries(Mar. 21-Apr. 20) We know it seems like an oxymoron to tell you, "Expect the unexpected", but this December opportunities for adventure are all around you. Your search for higher knowledge, interesting travel, foreign cultures, exotic religions, broad philosophies and even formal education provide you with the keys. It's all about self-learning and my dear, boredom is not your friend. Don't hide away waiting for something to happen. Meet your challenges head-on, that's your style. Be public, choose variety and your own ideas, your ability to communicate, and your sales and marketing skills. If you can't do that where you are, move.

Taurus(Apr. 21-May-21)This month is a cozy, squishy, snuggle-in-the-family-bed-and-watch-'Elf' kind of month. You should be getting along with your partner very well, thank you, and your kids, too. Everyone looks beautiful to you now, and people bask in that kind of appreciation--it encourages good behavior. So you get the job of peacemaker, for the most part. But to maintain this peace you need a physical outlet, too, or you may fight with co-workers or trip over your own shoelaces. So, here's a suggestion: Pick up a non team related sport or join a gym. Work out a lot in December.

Gemini(May 22-June 20) It's all fun and games this month and no one's getting hurt, except a few random friends who didn't get invited to one of your parties. But a heads up from you, and they're over it. It's even fun at work, where everyone loves you and feels like family. It may make you a little stressed, fitting all those happy people into your house at the same time. So, as much fun as this all is, it can also be a bit "too much of a good thing," if you know what we mean. Don't worry, you can handle a month of this, right?

Cancer(June 21-July 22) Native Americans called this full Moon, in Cancer on the 25th, the 'Cold Moon' and it is. It's also the most powerful Moon of the year for you, and it happens to be on Xmas day to boot. You can get almost anything done if your intention is to clean out closets, either literally ala Marie Kondo, or psychologically ala Carl Jung. You love holidays with home and family, but December won't be relaxing for you--too much to do. So, organize each day, pare your errands down to essentials, and don't get stressed out and crazy. That's when accidents happen.

Leo(July 23-Aug. 23)Some things just seem 'meant to be.' Like, when you and your loved ones are taking time off, having fun, traveling around and not really thinking about work. Then, wham! You get the phone call, the letter, the email, the big 'thumbs up' for your work. This time of year is always lucky for you, where work is concerned. While everyone else is kicking their shoes off and kicking back from work, work seeks you out. When it's offered this month, take it. The opportunity may not seem like much right now but don't pass on it. It's a gift in disguise.

Virgo(Aug. 24-Sept. 22)Your house is full of people and your car full of gifts but your work brain doesn't stop. A wise Virgo shared with me what he calls the "Monkey Mind", that obsessive mental loop Virgo's (and others) get into where they can't stop going over and over and over something. And now, while the social norm is to stay wired and connected at all times, your Monkey Mind can communicate with colleagues all over the world at all times of the day and night and never leave your house. It's all part of your current (secret) partnership agreement with the masses. They need you, holidays or not.

Libra(Sept. 23-Oct. 22)Here's your exercise regimen for December: Hold your words in your mouth and count to ten. Now, swallow them. Repeat. Let's try that same exercise with an email or text: Write what comes pouring out, everything you feel like saying, and count slowly to ten. Now, erase. You feel uncharacteristically impulsive and aggressive this month, so it's important to hold on to your words, written or verbal, before unleashing them on an unsuspecting public. Be especially careful of colleagues and romantic partners. No need to watch in awe and horror as words you never meant to say fly from your mouth and fingertips.

Scorpio(Oct. 23-Nov.21) There currently exists a warm and intense attraction between you and the rest of the world. Don't you feel it? It's that legendary Scorpio magnetism on maximum power and aimed outward in all points of the compass. Whatever you find fascinating and turn your attention to whether it's art, travel, nature, or design, becomes charming and in demand by association. It's the image you present, but also your keen interest in other peoples lives. It's charming not intrusive because you're truly interested. Happy Birthday Scorpio!(Oct. 23-Nov.21)Your Month:

Do you feel a little lighter now, a little less stressed and more determined to make some big changes in your world? Not yet? Well, don't  fret, you will. No true Scorpio sets out in life to win a popularity contest, but sometimes when the planets align just right and the Moon and stars conspire, that's exactly what seems to happen, or it feels that way. While you stay busy creatively mapping out your next career move, your fan-base grows, quietly amassing on the horizon, preparing to take the enemy by surprise. You aren't alone anymore--your legions of fans have your back.

Sagittarius(Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You guys are usually 'Big Picture' people, preferring to leave those pesky details in the dust as soon as they begin making demands on you. Well, not to be too dramatic here, but your destiny and career success this month is linked with how completely you embrace the details of your work. Capricorn(Dec. 22-Jan. 20) 

No one would ever accuse you of being a dreamer, but the philosophical approach you've applied to most of last year does make you appear almost Buddha-like. In fact, the image of students trekking across the wilderness or climbing a mountain peak to sit in your hut and absorb the wisdom you dispense is kind of accurate. You've already undertaken a serious examination of your own hidden realms, so why not help others to conquer their fears as well? And your desire to divest yourself of extraneous worldly goods, load up your donkey, and take off for parts unknown is a little Buddha-like, too.

Aquarius (Jan 21-Feb. 19) 

Passionate but detached, solitary but demanding a connection, independent but sharing your expanding resources, this is your month. But it's a good month, so expect a surprise legacy, inheritance, insurance payout, legal settlement, severance package or gift with no obvious strings. This could also be a very good month for romance of a more, ahem, earthy variety, and you may demand more than a platonic relationship from a friend or co-worker. It'll sizzle, but try to keep the heat under wraps or it may burn you later. Remember, the only way to keep a secret is to keep it first yourself. Just saying.

Pisces (Feb. 20-March 20)

 I know, I know, work demands your time and attention, but you need a vacation. This month. Take your romantic anniversary trip to Hawaii, or learn to dance the tango with your loved one in Argentina, or sip espresso and nibble croissants beneath the Eiffel Tower on the most romantic Paris date ever. Make it a big trip, use your passport, have a romantic adventure. Just say "No" to work and get your romance fix this month, because very soon all those prophesied career changes will kick in and throw your career in a complete whirlwind. Then, you won't have time to play.

Aries (Mar. 21-Apr. 20) 

When you're really into something no one has more energy than you. Your enthusiasm is contagious and you want to share your fun with everyone in your immediate orbit. The problem usually is, how to keep your attention focused. But that won't be a problem this month. You're completely in control of your day-to-day energy and you find even the most mundane work activities fascinating. Your co-workers look to you as a leader now, and you're ok with that. Just fine-tune your daily routine, both work and health, and allow them be your main focus. It will pay off big.

Taurus (Apr. 21-May-21) 

Friends and partners, partners and friends, friends as partners, and partners as friends--this is the theme and your project for the month: Figure out ways to be creative and have fun with them--your friends and partners, that is. But also, try to have fun, if you get my meaning. It's important for you to enjoy your personal life completely. Be creative and light hearted, join groups and participate in activities, but also step carefully around anything too serious, too deep or too secretive. Focus on the details of your your immediate personal goals and leave the heavy stuff to everyone else.

Gemini (May 22-June 20) 

You know how we've encouraged you in your career, pushed you to take chances with your work, and warned you about the hurt and neglected feelings of those you left at home? Well, that was then, thus is now. Your job this month is home. That's it. Home. Spend some time with your house and get to know each other again. Tackle those jobs you've ignored or swept under the carpet, literally. Organize your pantry, clean out your closets, re-fold your T-shirts ala Marie Kondo. Stay in and read a real book or re-watch Gilmore Girls on Netfix. Learn to love your house again by fine-tuning it.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) 

Precise and truthful communication is the theme for November, so make it a point not to cut corners or adjust the facts--it could backfire. Clearly spoken or written words are integral to everything you do. Use them to ramp up your social media, because people connected through your career need to trust you and believe in your integrity. Your partners feel a little fragile right now so clear communications here will prevent major relationship issues later. And people you work with need you to tell them exactly what to do and how to do it. And vice versa. So, speak up.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 23)

"Money makes the world go 'round, the world..." You know the rest. Now, I don't usually advocate a monetary focus but this month there is no way to escape it--money really does make your world go 'round. Everything you touch turns to gold, every idea in your head is a money maker, and your instincts in the financial arena are spot on. Now, this doesn't mean everything else in your life falls by the wayside, just because your work is on fire. This happy money situation keeps your home life rosy, so go ahead--buy new living room furniture.

Virgo (Aug. 24-Sept. 22)

Usually you practically and methodically you go after what you want. Usually you quietly and efficiently tackle projects. You're almost always pragmatic about love, preferring meaningful relationships, reliability and common sense over fairy tales, but this month things are a little different. You feel romantic, fiery and independent and you want, no, need to express yourself creatively. You may even be rash and a little aggressive, darting around here and there. So, it's important to have an outlet, a way to communicate what's inside or it may burst out of you and cause trouble. If you can blog, email, text, or spruce up your website, you may have your outlet.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) NaNoWriMo(National Novel Writing Month) is an annual creative writing project taking place in November. It challenges you to write 50,000 words, and the reason I'm reminding you is because November just happens to be a perfect month for you, astrologically, to hole up in your home office and write. Jodi Picault says everyone has a book in them, and yours is bursting at the seams to get out. It takes a lot of alone time to write a book, and until now that's been in short supply for you. But, you'll have plenty of alone time and motivation in November. So write your novel.

Horoscopes for October 2015

 

“October is a see-saw kind of month, a push-me pull-you sort of time, "yes/no", "I want to/I don't want to", "I'm staying/I'm out of here", you know what I mean. Decisions, decisions, decisions! You're pulled in opposite directions, but this could be a good thing. You are in no danger of standing your ground and digging in your heels, because you can see the other side and the grass looks greener. Take your time, examine all options and be patient--things clear up next month. By the way, Mercury is retrograde until the 8th."

Happy Birthday Libra! (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) Your month: This month expect weird communication snafu's, especially concerning partners and contracts. You want your freedom--no, wait, you want the close connection and shared responsibilities of teamwork--no, wait, you want to do it all by yourself. You want to bring your work home--no, wait, you want to go into the office--no wait, you want to stay up late and work...no, wait, you want socialization. You want to work out, but you want to sit in bed and eat ice cream at midnight, too. Just wait out the conflict--it's astrological. Your reward? Stellar friendships. Just don't move them into your house.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov.21) Ding dong, the Wicked Witch is (finally) dead! And you thought that old troublemaker Saturn was going to park in Scorpio forever. Nope. It exits your sign this month, leaving you free of its dark, heavy energy and you feel light as a feather, free to explore new ways to make money, new groups to join, new projects to start. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) October won't be easy, but in magical Capricorn world, there's no stone in your path so big that it can't be moved. You usually try to evaluate the effectiveness of your own decisions with awe-inspiring impartiality by conducting a thorough, comprehensive analysis. Your strength lies in identifying weaknesses to prevent the future re-occurrence of problems. Now, apply that technique to everything, even yourself. Be uber diplomatic. Look for the most original and unusual options,  personal and professional. Prioritize your efforts. The most important thing is to stabilize any situation, whatever it is and however you need to do it.

Aquarius (Jan 21-Feb. 19) "Move in the direction you have defined for yourself". You guys have always been solo flyers, but this month you need to be even more vigilant about demanding autonomy. It may be tempting to take someone else's advice, especially if they are stating it loudly, but you can only truly trust yourself this month. 

Pisces (Feb. 20-March 20) People don't usually call you "willful", but that's exactly how October finds you and it's causing a few problems. You're just a trifle impulsive and unpredictable and, as Camus once said, you "have to expend a tremendous amount of energy just to be normal." You're feeling like no one gets you, not at work, not at home. You think people want to squash your individuality and creativity but the truth is, you may be getting in your own way by rebelling. The secret path to your own success is a balance between your own needs and those of other people. Just until the end of the year.

Aries (Mar. 21-Apr. 20) Remember that Seinfeld episode where George noticed his instincts were off, so he decided to act in opposition to them? Suddenly, he got everything he wanted. It reminds me of you this month. You have everything going for you, the right place at the right time, people who want to help you, the perfect partners, the right work. Yet your brain keeps playing tricks on you, trying to get you to sabotage October. Don't listen to the voices in your head. They create conflict where there should be none and cause you emotional pain at work and in your personal relationships. Resist.

Taurus (Apr. 21-May-21) No matter how far you travel, no matter where you find children, or friends, or co-workers, everyone seems to be wounded somehow and they don't know it. More importantly, it feels like it's your job to heal them. You should take this position very seriously, and maybe consider healing and teaching your duty and your dharma this month. Hindu's accept the concept of dharma as behaviors   in accord with the order making life possible, including "duties, rights, laws, conduct, virtues and the right way of living."(wiki) In Buddhism dharma means "cosmic law and order". Accept your dharma: Heal and teach when you can.

Gemini (May 22-June 20) October is tricky--on one hand, your family wants and needs more from you than you've been giving them. But on the other, work makes you crazy and that makes you a little crazy at home. Your relationship success depends on how well you manage both these parts of your life, so let me make one teensy little suggestion: Structure and organize your daily work--this acts like magic. You have good organizational abilities, so put them to good use and schedule the heck out of your life. It's important for you to keep the peace this month, for everyone's sake.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) Planning a surprise? You may want to re-think it--October's just not a good month for surprises. A brand new phase in your career's just begun and you're probably chomping at the bit to make a few sweeping changes, but try to postpone your plans until 2016, move them to a later date next month, or adjust a few details to reduce the element of surprise. Your month needs to be stable, consistent, natural, normal and very well organized. Extreme highs and lows will only screw things up and set your almost-certain forward advance backwards. And you don't want that now, do you? 

Leo (July 23-Aug. 23) No one exudes self-confidence like you, Leo. But you'll need more than self-confidence to get you to "Happily-ever-after" this month. In fact less would be nice. This month all the amazing qualities that usually make you Leo's so impressive can actually get in the way of your happiness. Try adopting a few of another signs qualities, like Gemini's airiness, Taurus' slow to anger and gentleness, or Sagittarius' silliness. How about imitating Cancers cuddliness, or Virgo's self-depreciation? Be a little more adaptable and weak-willed and a little less, well, you. You'll discover your home is a kinder, gentler place.

Virgo (Aug. 24-Sept. 22) So much happens in that busy brain of yours and you always feel a little stagnant if things aren't moving in some way, either forward or even sideways. But this month more happens in your brain than in your life, because most planned events simply won't happen, try as you might to force them. It's probably a good thing your work is running smoothly, because you need to pull back a bit anyway and let your family, and inner calm, dominate career and money matters. “The recipe this month is "Think Outside the Box". Whether you're cooking up a project alone or with a team, the best results can be had by keeping everything creative and fun, brave and experimental. Relationships in September are all about a good time and more playful than serious, so use your intuition to add spice to your romance. Happy Birthday Virgo (Aug. 24-Sept. 22)Your month:

You Virgo's are so cute and you get enthusiastic about so many things. You're ambitious, ridiculously committed to your work, determined and resourceful. But isn't it also true that you're just a teensy bit involved in intrigue and high drama and sometimes your ubiquitous energy level is too chaotic for even you to manage? No wonder Virgos are famous for developing stomach problems. Hopefully, you found a non-mundane professional path where your unique brand of energy is appreciated. But if not, change your job, because you need a practice of daily self-restraint while creating high drama in your career. Yup, it can be done.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) Most call you a diplomat, a peacemaker, a good communicator. But, this month you feel intellectually bulletproof and you don't mind forcing your ideas on other people. In fact, you can be sort of snarky about it, so wrapped up in your own brilliance you may not appreciate the brilliance of other people. Different points of view are important, especially from your brilliant and dynamic friends. You can trust them to work on your pet projects with you, but you just might be mistaken about the brilliance of own ideas. Mercury is retrograde in your sign this month, so double check your facts, okay?

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov.21) Don't be surprised if you suddenly decide to try a new diet this month, or join a gym, or change your work schedule. Don't be surprised if you get a raise, or promotion, or an interview with a star reporter. In October, a year's worth of stored personal goals and visions kick into high speed production. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) Lately you've felt like a basketball player on the UT football field, just a little concerned you weren't in the right game. This month you finally feel a surge of the old vitality and efficiency shoot through you concerning anything game/work related. Your plans get executed because you'll have everything you need, exactly as you expected, and without unnecessary problems or delays. But, and here's the hitch, without the support of a team. Aquarius (Jan 21-Feb. 19) What drives you? Are you aggressive in the pursuit of it or are you waiting? Your insane need to express yourself creatively and be recognized for what you do this month shows up in really dramatic ways. You want, no, need to make an impact but you also insist on keeping your freedom, even when one-on-one. This can wreak havoc on intimate relationships. This is where it hurts. Be empathetic but don't neglect your own needs. The imbalance makes you resent your partners. Nurture yourself and trust your own wisdom. Your fiery enthusiasm and passion will be an inspiration.

Pisces (Feb. 20-March 20) Be very careful with friendship/business/money partnerships. Maybe a friend asks for a loan and you have a hard time saying 'no'. Maybe a money decision you make upsets your partner. Maybe you sign an open-ended contract in good faith. Any of these scenarios could end badly for you, so find the loophole and close it. Maybe you lack confidence in the uniqueness of your own strength to help yourself, because you have so much empathy for other people's suffering and want to fix them instead. Fortunately, you have an almost magical ability to heal yourself and anyone else that needs you. Simultaneously, so you don't have to choose.

Aries (Mar. 21-Apr. 20) Your primary relationships are vital now so no running away, no matter what comes up for you. Your traditional M.O. is: Do it 'till it's not fun anymore, then leave. Not this month. Intimate partnerships, good or bad, easy or difficult, fun or not fun, make you feel alive. Here's where you learn the most about yourself. Partnerships, conventional or un-conventional will bring you the biggest bang for your buck. Put some energy into your one-on-ones. Taurus (Apr. 21-May-21) It's vital this month not to let depression about politics, work, foreign affairs and health food fads infest you with dark thoughts. You might need to uncover the meaning of life, but any bandwagon you jump on this month isn't the right one for you. It's like that old Rodney Dangerfield joke: "I wouldn't join any club that would have me as a member." If you become dogmatic about certain philosophies, that's your cue to back off. The need to force your viewpoint in September is particularly acute and could permanently alienate the very people you're trying to convert. 

Gemini (May 22-June 20) September forces a festering wound to the surface. Could it be connected to your past or directly related to your father? Whatever you've slapped a bandaid on, whatever you've been ignoring, covering up or hiding busts open now. You're so busy juggling work and home, you're unprepared and this 'little problem' feels like it's coming from left field. The treatment is communication. Send emails, post info on social media sites, write letters with pen and paper and send them snail mail, make phone calls, texts, or work it out on a radio talk show--All forms of communication are as good as cash and heal all wounds. Even old ones.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) Cancers, when you find yourself at home or around family, you need to watch your back. Or your step. Or your words. In fact, if you have an apartment at the office, maybe you could hang out there for a month. Aquarius(Jan 20-Feb. 18) For you romance and reliability go hand in hand. You approach relationships slowly and steadily, looking for someone solid and secure, someone who can help make the home more harmonious, at least this month. You do need to make your home beautiful, but more importantly, you need communication. Lots of communication. In fact, this month you are a master of communication. You communicate with friends, with neighbors and siblings, with partners. You want to know anything and everything, and can't bear it if someone you know knows something you don't. And, this is the month for a road trip. What better way to accumulate information?

Pisces(Feb. 19-March 20) In April your focus is on acquiring what you value. It can be money, but you also value what you own, and that's not always a tangible thing. You own cars, boats, clothes and stocks, true, but you also own your feelings and emotions, or should. Your abilities, needs and wants drive your actions to acquire, and the grown up steps you take with your career to get you to the place where you can acquire stuff, and the hard work you do to get there is what this month is about, so that probably means...no down time until May.
